Before you can pay anyone, you need USDC in your confidential balance. Funding moves public USDC into the confidential token so it is ready to spend on private payouts. Confiroll runs on the Stellar testnet, so payouts use test USDC. Depositing and merging are fee-sponsored, so you fund even a brand-new account that holds 0 XLM.

What your balance shows

Available

Spendable now, decrypted on your device with your viewing key. This is the figure payroll draws from, and it carries an “only you can see this” marker.

Pending

Funds that have arrived in your receiving bucket but are not merged into your spendable balance yet. It clears to available once the merge settles.

Funding history

A record of every top-up, its method, its status, and a link to the settlement on the block explorer.

Ways to add funds

Three methods bring USDC into your confidential balance. Pick the one that matches where your funds are today.
The quickest path. One click mints test USDC and deposits it into your confidential balance, so you can try the whole flow end-to-end.

Enter an amount

Choose how much test USDC to mint, or accept the suggested amount.

Click Get test USDC

Confiroll mints the test USDC and deposits it into your confidential balance in one action.

Watch it land

The amount appears as pending, then merges into your available balance. The deposit is fee-sponsored, so you pay 0 XLM.
Depositing and merging into your confidential balance are on-chain actions, and Confiroll sponsors the fee for each. That is why you can fund an account that holds 0 XLM: you sign, Confiroll fee-bumps, and settlement costs you nothing.
The vault that receives bridged USDC is owned by you, the employer, not by Confiroll. Confiroll operates the bridge tooling but never custodies your funds. More detail is in Funding on the Developers tab.

Validation and checks

Amount greater than zero

Every method requires a positive amount. A zero or empty amount is rejected before anything settles.

Sufficient source

The bridge and the classic-USDC deposit check that your source holds enough before they start, so a transfer never begins short.

FAQ

Confiroll runs on the Stellar testnet, so funding uses test USDC. The faucet mints test USDC directly, and the CCTP bridge moves test USDC from Base Sepolia. It behaves exactly like the real flow, which is what lets you exercise funding, payroll, and disclosure end-to-end.
The faucet and a classic-USDC deposit land in moments: the amount shows as pending, then merges into available. The CCTP bridge takes longer because it waits for Circle’s attestation between the burn and the mint. The bridge panel shows the live status through Burn, Attesting, Minting, Depositing, and Done.
No. The CCTP vault that receives bridged USDC is owned by your account, not by Confiroll. Confiroll fee-sponsors the on-chain steps and runs the bridge tooling, but it holds zero keys and cannot move your funds.
